Venue type can matter as much as drink type

Cross Eatery lists takeaway espresso, long black, flat white, cappuccino, and latte at A$4.50. SkyFeast at Sydney Tower lists espresso at A$6 and the other core drinks at A$6.50.

Watch for surcharges

The SkyFeast menu lists card, group, Sunday, and public-holiday surcharges. Your final receipt may therefore differ from the printed drink price.

What the range does not prove

Two venues cannot represent every neighbourhood café, roaster, chain, restaurant, and hotel. These are current examples, not an official Sydney average.
